How to get rid of acne and pimples fast at home
Introduction
Acne and Pimples are one of the most common skin conditions that affect young, adults and some never get rid of it. It becomes a source of frustration. It is an inflammatory disorder of the skin and it happens when hair follicles under the skin become clogged.
Sebum oil helps keep skin from drying out and dead skin cells plug the pores, which leads to outbreaks of lesions, commonly called pimples or zits.
Most often, the outbreaks occur on the face but can also appear on the back, chest, and shoulders. Some other factors such as hormonal changes, excessive oil production, bacteria, clogged pores, and inflammation contribute to the development of acne.
- There are a few types of acne (to know: you can google it) but we will focus on its treatment. I will also share my own experience at the end.
Cleansing your skin:
Use a gentle cleanser or acne-removing face wash twice a day to remove dirt, excess oil, and impurities from your skin.
Then you can also apply apple cider vinegar with water 1:3 and apply it on the skin using a cotton ball and wash it after 10-30sec with water. Repeat it 1-2-3 times a day.
Exfoliate:
Exfoliation is the process of removing the top layer of dead skin cells. It also helps treatments to work better. Use a natural facial scrub. Avoid harsh scrubbing, as it can irritate the skin and worsen acne or pimple.
Avoid Touching Your Face:
Our hands come into contact with numerous bacteria throughout the day, and touching your face can transfer those bacteria to your skin, leading to breakouts. Don’t touch your face unnecessarily. If it is needed wash, your hand before.
Don’t pop them:
Popping pimples can cause bleeding scarring or infection. this can lead to further inflammation, making your pimple problem worse.
Reduce stress:
Stress can exacerbate acne, as it triggers hormonal fluctuations that contribute to the development of acne.
To manage your stress:
- Sleep well
- Do yoga
- Do meditation
- Listen to sweet music
- Doing things you enjoy
Exercise Regularly:
Doing exercise on a regular basis regulates your hormones and it is good for your acne as well as your body. Do at least 30 minutes of exercise daily or 150-200 hours a week, which includes running, walking, yoga, gym etc. Try to do 10-15 min of anaerobic exercise a day. Listening music while exercise can motivate you to do it.
Vitamins A, E:
Taking natural vitamin A can help with acne. It is essential in keeping the sweat gland or the sebaceous gland in check so it doesn’t become too big. It really helps to normalize these glands and the production of oil. It also keeps the skin healthy.
Vitamin E plays an important role in anti-scaring. If you are deficient in vitamin E a lot of the time you will get pock marks and scarring after the acne. It helps in producing a balanced hormonal profile.
Low glycemic diet:
The glycemic index shows how quickly a food raises your blood sugar.Eating high GI foods causes a spike in insulin, which likely increases sebum production which will affect your acne or can cause development of acne.
Avoid high GI and processed food
- Soft drinks
- White bread
- Refine sugar
- Sweets
- Product made with refined sugar
- White rice etc….
- # Eat a Health Diet.
- # Use natural sweet fruits, vegetables, and nuts for your sweet carving in moderation.
My experience:
I got it around at age of 16. It keeps coming and going after 2-3 years I visited the doctor. He gave me medicine and cream. Also told me to avoid Oiling my head, not to take milk, not to touch my face, popping, and eating outside etc. It worked. Medicine was for a month only. I used the cream for 2-3 years only when acne pops.
I still don’t use oil and don’t use milk on regular basics. Whenever I put oil on my head regularly(after each bath) after 3-4 times acne starts popping.
Conclusion:
Dealing with acne and pimples can be a challenging journey, but by implementing these strategies, you can effectively combat breakouts and achieve clearer, healthier skin. Maintain a healthy lifestyle.
You should consult a dermatologist if you have severe acne.
